GTX Technologies was founded to manufacture specialized natural compounds and fulvic minerals that could be used to sanitize pre- and post harvest foods. GTX recognizes the significance of providing consumers with organically grown vegetables, melons, fruits and nuts that are sanitized organically to reduce pathogen load and to extend the shelf life of such produce. GTX also recognizes the safety concern of the continuing use of ammonia and chlorine base sanitizers on human health and the environment. Therefore, in working with a scientific team from the University of Arizona with an interest in edible sanitizers, we have tested and published in the Journal of food Safety a paper on the effects of using GTX’s pharmaceutical grade Fulvic acids on three of the most prevalent and economically significant pathogens, namely Salmonella, Listeria and Pseudomonas, that cause food poisoning in people. The results of this research suggest that some of GTX’s Fulvic acids could provide the key to the much needed food safety interventions and with additional research this could significantly impact the productivity and economic outlook for vegetables, fruits and melon producers within the country.
